“Astara Power Plant” is the first station consisting of piston type units constructed in accordance to order of president Ilham Aliyev in the line of improving of electric power supply in Azerbaijan Republic. In a shirt time, constructed and put into operation this modern power engineering enterprise totally supplying of southern regions with electric power and give guarantee for fast developing of economy.

At present, successful activity of this enterprise is very important for the state power engineering system. According to the information given by “Astara Power Plant” to the press – release of “Azerenergy” JSC, the most modern supervision – measure apparatus, security and management equipments were constructed there. The units are put into operation in 10 minutes. Operation of  s/s by 110/11 kV is satisfactory.

Lets` noted that, prediction indicators were constantly carried out in the line of electric power production, special scarf and conditional fuel under months and years in accordance to production period. So that, 234 million 187 thousand kWh electric power was generated at the power plant during 11 months of  2011. one milliard 932 million 291 thousand kWh electric power was produced since power plant put into operation till the end of November.

As the source informed, technical repair graphic of all units and subsidiary equipments are seriously carried out during last years. As a result of it, there was no observed any serious indispositions during exploitation period. Technical service of the equipments were implemented in time   by the staff. At present, 3 machines are repaired at the power plant: technical service is carried out at the units number 3, 8 and 9 in accordance to exploitation limit.
