13:30 – In connection with the accident occurred in gas pipelines in Sangachal settlement, the production process at two gas combined power plants of "Azerenerji" JSC - 400 MW "Shimal" Power Plant and 525 MW "Sumgait" Power Plant were stopped forcedly. In the result of operational measures carried out under the leadership of the President of "Azerenerji" JSC, the existing stability of the power system had been provided and the expansion of the accident had been prevented.

Despite applied short-period restriction to the consumers, outage will be eliminated as soon as possible by the mobilization of all reserve capacities.
