As a result of energy security of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the introduction of the electricity system into a new development and quality stage, the issue of supplying consumers with uninterrupted and durable electricity was successfully implemented in May of this year.

In May 2018, the volume of electricity produced by “Azerenerji” Open Joint-Stock Company was 1.657 billion kilowatt-hours.

It should be noted that production growth is observed in comparison with May, 2017. Thus, the figure was 1.519 billion kilowatt-hours in the corresponding period of last year.

Also, during this period, the electricity exchange of the country’s energy system was mutually implemented with related countries.

In addition, relevant works on the execution of the relevant positions envisioned in the near and distant future have been continued in accordance with the Action Plan of the Strategic Road Map on the development of utility services (electricity and thermal energy, water and gas) in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and at the same time, by applying innovative technologies in subordinate enterprises, the modernization of the energy system was taken into consideration and in this regard, a number of measures were taken to inform the public about it.
