On July 20, 2018, at 22:20, for an unknown reason, a wire break occurred due to a synchronous short circuit in high-voltage transmission lines, 8^th km No.1 and No.2 and Hazi Aslanov in the Ahmedli settlement of Baku. As a result, electricity supply to a small portion of consumers in the Nizami and Khatai districts was limited under compulsion during the time spent on operative operations to switch to the reserve source. At that time, there was no power shortage in the electricity supply of Baku city. 

At the same time, we inform that the information disseminated by the press service of the “Azerishig” OJSC on the suspension of the “Shimal” power station located in the Mardakan settlement does not reflect the truth.

It should be noted that in recent days there have been no changes in the operating mode of the “Shimal” power station.
