The volume of electricity produced by “Azerenerji” Open Joint-Stock Company in July 2018 was 2,080 billion kilowatt-hours.

There is an increase in production compared with July 2017. That is to say, this figure was 1,883 billion kilowatt-hours in the corresponding period last year.

Also, during this period, electricity sharing was mutually realized with the states with which the country’s power system has connections.

Besides, in accordance with the Action Plan of the Strategic Road Map for the development of utilities (electricity and thermal energy, water and gas) in the Republic of Azerbaijan, relevant works were carried out on the implementation of the tasks envisaged in the near and distant future, at the same time the modernization of the power system was taken into consideration and, in this regard, a number of measures were taken to inform the public.

It should be noted that in recent years, the modernization of power infrastructure and the introduction of innovative technologies have led to the strengthening of the security and stability of the power system of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Also, diversification of exports has been achieved and export potential has been increased.
