About 1,8 milliard kWh electric power was generated at the state power system in August of the current year. From this capacity, 1,7 milliard kWh was produced by thermal power plant (TPP), about 0,1 milliard was generated by hydro power plant (HPP).

It was noted in the information given by the Central Dispatch Office of the Joint Stock Company to the Press release of “Azerenergy” JSC.

Beside it, electric power exchange was continued with neighboring countries – Russian Federation, Turkey, Georgia and Islamic Republic of Iran.

Under the information given by the source, more than 14,5 milliard kWh was generated during 8 months of the current year. By the way, more than 13 milliard kWh was produced by TPP, about 1,5 milliard was generated by HPP.
