Every year on 20 ^th of October was celebrated as professional holiday of power engineering specialist thanks to order of Azerbaijan Republic President Ilham Aliyev given in 2004. This year, as every year, with great enthusiasm engineers meet their professional holiday.

According to the information given by the Press – release of "Azerenergy" JSC, celebration was begun with visit of grave of  great leader in the Alley of Honor and Alley of Martyrs celebration.

Congratulating the participants on the occasion of power, president of  "Azerenergy" JSC Etibar Pirverdiyev,  Soviet republics while strengthening the capacity of the country's energy sector, which is directly related to the expansion of the Heydar Aliyev pays special attention to this issue and put the foundation for the development of electric power industry. And  that it I paid a large part of consumption.

He also noted that all the work began as a great leader for the sake of national development, capacity-building measures in the field of power by President Ilham Aliyev successfully continued the current high level. Large-scale projects to improve electricity supply in the region has been part of the State Program on socio-economic development. Within the framework of the State program on development of regions from different parts of the country and rebuilt power plant was built. The new plants built in the electrical regions are not only a source of energy, but also has hundreds of jobs for local residents.

Today, the most powerful and advanced system of power in the region. Demand for electricity in the country, which is already fully paid and Azerbaijan plays an important role in ensuring the security of electricity to neighboring countries.
