 Implementation of new projects is essential for satisfying sustainable energy security of Azerbaijan Republic and rising demand of electricity. Projected power plant with installed capacity of 385 MWt in Baku city, Garadag district, Sangachal settlement is one of such projects.

“Quality Veritas INC.” company was involved for preparing the document “Evaluation of Environmental and Social-Economic Impacts (EESEI) regarding construction of this power plant. According to preparation procedure of EESEI projects in Azerbaijan Republic, “Quality Veritas INC.” organizes primary public hearing for this project. Main purpose of this hearing is informing members of public about the proposed project and see reaction of them to possible affects of the project. In public hearing, it will be elucidated below mentioned subjects regarding EESEI document prepared for the power plant construction project:

• Electricity equipment which planned to install at the power plant and their features
• Discussion of impacts mentioned and evaluated in EESEI project (environmental, social, economic and etc.)
• Defining demanded actions for decreasing negative impacts to environment and social life

This meeting has been organized for important people who will be beneficial for realizing this project, people, members of local executives and municipality and other public groups.
