There has been organized public hearing about “Sangachal 2” power plant project.

Implementation of new projects is essential issue which standing in front of energy system for satisfying rising electricity demand of Azerbaijan Republic. In this regard, public hearing has been hold about preparing for new power plant with installed capacity of 385 MWt in Baku city, Qaradag district, Sangachal settlement and Evaluation of Environmental and Social-Economic Impacts (EESEI).

First public hearing, which related to this issue, had been organized with members of public in 25 July 2017. Officials of “Azerenrji” JSC, representative of municipality and executives, dwellers who live near the area of the plant, specialists of “Azerbaijan Scientific-Research and Project- Investigation Power Engineering Institute” and responsible persons of the company, which will provide equipment for the plant have participate in the public hearing.
