3^rd strategic target “Strategic Road Map for development of public utilities” confirmed by Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic No.1138 dated 6^th December 2106, in other words, duties under mechanism to achieve purposes and application of global effectiveness and quality standards, has been detected in Azerenerji JSC, also issues of increasing power plants effectiveness and effective use of existing potential has been taken into consideration.

Execution plan has been prepared in Azerenerji JSC regarding sub-clause “Preparation of master plan for modernization works” of clause “Reduction of power losses, increasing of quality of electricity supply and distribution” of Measures Plan of Strategic Road Map.

As known, in the result of reforms carried out in power sector having role social-economic development of Azerbaijan Republic, capacity potential of power system has been increased substantially, it has been taken necessary steps for improving and developing transmission and distribution infrastructure. Execution of large-scale investment projects, building of new power plants by adopting new technologies, along with strengthening country power security makes opportunities for access to power market, as well as for export of electricity. Despite this, increasing of power demand at all areas of economy, especially in the process of new industry and agriculture establishment, states a new goals to increase generation capacities of power system, reconstruction and extension of power networks.

It is required performing great works at high-voltage power networks for fully satisfying of estimated electricity demand of national economy at near, medium and long prospects, increasing effectiveness of power transmission and distribution, decreasing of power losses, providing consumers with continuous and quality electricity.

The list of work that is most likely to be carried out in the networks, primarily refers to improvement, reconstruction, modernization and construction activities, as well as their scheme and working regimes, as well as the optimization of dispatching management. 

At the same time, taking into account the importance of expanding ties with the energy systems of the neighboring countries for the purpose of reducing losses, it is also important to include them in the list of these measures. From this point of view, the plan included a plan to modernize the transmission of electricity and improve the quality of transmission and distribution of electricity, as well as organizational and technical measures, as well as the improvement of the electricity registration system.

It should be noted that the Action Plan specifies the name of the event, the expected result, the status of implementation and the execution period.

In short, the Implementation Plan developed in the Action Plan of the Strategic Roadmap in the joint-stock company is a major project for launching a qualitatively new stage in this direction, introducing innovative technologies in this area, increasing the efficiency of the energy system and upgrading the material and technical base for the production, transmission and power management.
